We asked the teens who finished our first session how they felt Operation Jump-Start impacted their lives.  Here's a sample of their responses:   


OJS helped me understand so much more about nutrition.  It helped me understand the importance of eating right.  The instructors really helped me understand nutrition and the importance of exercise.  I always felt good and accomplished after OJS.  I give this program an A+.
 


 

I learned that when you exercise it makes you feel good and helps you to build a strong body.  Because of this program I am going to try and eat right and stay in shape.  This program made me feel very good about myself and I definitely want to do a follow-up program.  I loved this program!
 


 

I think this program was a good idea because it helped me realize what I’m eating.  I learned what foods make me look good, change my attitude and make me have more energy.  It impacted me because of what I eat, how I exercise and my mood.
 


 

It was a fun program... I looked forward to every Tuesday.  I feel like the program made me feel happier and more active.  I also learned many different ways to exercise.




I thought this program was a positive influence and it’s a great afternoon activity.  The team that led OJS was very friendly and inspirational.  I learned what foods are good for me and a lot about different kinds of exercise.  This program had a big impact on me.  I learned how to take care of my body and how to take better care of myself.
